State Magazine shows full map of Morocco and considers the Kingdom as ‘Exporter of Peace’ in a Challenging Region

Morocco has emerged as an “exporter of peace” and stability in a challenging region, underlines State Magazine, the U.S State Department digital magazine.

In its March issue, the magazine states that Morocco, one of the United States’ largest non-NATO allies, plays a “pivotal role” in regional security and counterterrorism efforts.

State Magazine, which devotes its “Post of the Month” section to the Moroccan-American strategic partnership, also mentions the “African Lion”, “the largest annual military training exercise on the continent”.

The magazine further notes that Morocco’s strategic location and its ties to Arab, African, and European cultures make the Kingdom a “key partner” in addressing challenges affecting the Middle East and North Africa region, adding that Morocco is also a vital portal between Africa and Europe.

“You won’t find any other country in Africa that’s as stable and as reliable an ally as Morocco,” said David Fisher, political counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Rabat, quoted by the magazine which recalls that Morocco holds a “special place” in the history of U.S. foreign relations, being the first country to recognize the independence of the United States in 1777.
