The Kingdom of Morocco says it is closely and keenly following the latest developments in the sister Republic of Yemen, reiterating- based on its firm belief in the foundations of international law and the principles of good neighborliness and respect for the integrity and sovereignty of states- its unwavering support for the national unity of the sister Republic of Yemen and its sovereignty over its entire territory, as well as the Yemeni people’s right to security and stability.
Stemming from its steadfast commitment to consolidating stability in the Arab region, Morocco reaffirms its rejection of anything that could undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and reiterates its support for all initiatives aimed at easing tensions, in the interest of security and to ensure stability for all countries in the region, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.
In this regard, the Kingdom urges all concerned parties to remain committed to dialogue in order to reach a comprehensive political solution under the auspices of international legitimacy, in a manner that preserves the unity and sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and fulfills the aspirations of its brotherly people for a dignified life and lasting stability, the same source added.
