New Air Route Launched between Warsaw and Marrakech

A new air route between Warsaw and Marrakech, operated by the Polish airline LOT, was launched on Wednesday as part of efforts to develop tourism between Morocco and Poland.

This route, operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, will run twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays), linking Warsaw Chopin Airport to Marrakech Menara Airport.

This direct air link is expected to strengthen connectivity and mobility between Poland and Morocco and have a clear commercial and economic impact for both countries, noted Laila Boulejiouch of Morocco’s Embassy in Warsaw.

“The objective of enhancing connectivity between the two countries is part of a shared commitment and common will to further strengthen bilateral relations and deepen the Moroccan-Polish partnership, with the aim of elevating it to a higher level,” the diplomat said.

The launch of this new route follows several months of discussions between the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) and LOT Polish Airlines, which resulted in a partnership agreement between the Office and the airline, stated Aziz Mnii, ONMT representative in Warsaw.

The Warsaw-Marrakech route will help increase the number of Polish tourists visiting Morocco, which reached nearly 136,000 visitors in 2024, the ONMT representative added.
