The Morocco-France Economic Forum kicked off on Thursday in Dakhla, gathering more than 300 business leaders to explore new cooperation opportunities in infrastructure, energy, agri-food and services.
Organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), through the France-Morocco Business Leaders Club, this high-level meeting aims to bolster the bilateral economic partnership and identify new synergies between the Moroccan and French business communities.
The forum mainly concerns the Royal Atlantic Initiative, food security, energy transition and decarbonization, as well as tourism and training. Several economic leaders and institutional officials from the countries are taking part, along with representatives from public and private organizations.
The event is part of the continuity of the state visit paid by President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco and extends the momentum initiated in Rabat in 2024, where dozens of economic agreements have been signed.
For CGEM and MEDEF, the choice of Dakhla embodies the strategic dimension of the Moroccan South and its mission to become an economic hub between Europe and Africa.
