
Hungary stands up for the sovereignty of Qatar, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Doha on Friday, three days after Israel bombed a villa where leaders of the Palestinian organisation Hamas were said to be meeting in
Doha, the Qatari capital. Orbán also wrote on his Facebook page that Hungary had affirmed its strategic alliance
with Qatar. Orbán, a close ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew to Abu Dhabi, the
capital of the United Arab Emirates and later flew on to Qatar.
He was received by Qatari Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in the Lusail Palace, and according to the Qatari media they also discussed regional and international developments.
