One Hungarian remains Hamashostage

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó spoke with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Saar on Saturday about the Middle East crisis, emphasising Hungary’s support for a ceasefire and hostage deal, as a Hungarian citizen remains in Hamas
captivity, according to a statement posted on the minister’s Facebook page.

Szijjártó also stated he would push for stronger EU-Israel dialogue at Tuesday’s EU foreign ministers’ meeting and reiterated Hungary’s opposition to the EU placing Israeli individuals on a sanctions list.
