Moroccan company launches a new military drone

Moroccan company Aerodrive has announced that its military drone has successfully completed its first flight test. It is a surveillance device.

“Proud to announce the successful maiden flight of our ATLAS ISTAR drone. This milestone marks a significant achievement in our journey to develop a state-of-the-art unmanned aerial system designed for military surveillance and intelligence-gathering operations. After months of rigorous testing, our team’s dedication and expertise have resulted in a system capable of providing real-time intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance in critical missions”, said the compagny in a public statement.

According to the same source, ATLAS is here to enhance military operational effectiveness.

As a reminder, Morocco is currently developing a local defense industry. The country is preparing to launch drone manufacturing by hosting an Israeli operator. At the same time, the Kingdom has signed an agreement with an Indian manufacturer to produce combat vehicles.
