FM Szijjártó announced that Hungary aims to become one of Europe’s most innovative economies in the shortest possible time, marking a strategic pivot in economic development focused on enhancing technological standards and expanding R&D capacities.
According to hungarian sources, Szijjártó highlighted, during the announcement of Evosoft’s investment, the importance of the project which aims to make manufacturing units more efficient. With a 3.4 billion HUF investment supported by 682 million HUF from the state, the project will create 75 high-skilled jobs across Budapest and Miskolc.
The minister emphasized the longstanding competitiveness of Hungarian labor in high-value activities, evidenced by winning the investment amidst fierce competition, reaffirming the strength of Hungary’s investment environment. He expressed ongoing commitment to cooperate with Siemens group to reinforce Hungary as the ideal location for such high-tech investments.
Addressing the broader economic challenges in Europe, Minister Szijjártó stressed the adverse effects of external crises on Europe, advocating for peace as essential for real economic growth and development. Despite these challenges, he noted the effectiveness of the government’s economic policies, which have led to significant economic recovery and growth, placing Hungary among the top in the EU for economic growth in the recent quarter.
