
The United States will provide $4 billion in military financing to Poland, US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno said on Friday.
“I would like to take this opportunity today to announce that the United States will be making another $4 billion available in our foreign military financing program for Poland,” DiNanno said at a ceremony marking the induction of F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets into service with the Polish Air Force.
The diplomat did not specify to which purposes the funds are being allocated .
DiNanno added that the move demonstrates the US commitment to Poland’s security and underscores Warsaw’s role as a key US ally.
