Morocco’s top genral receives  Insignia of Commander of Legion of Honor in Paris

Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the South Zone, received the insignia of Commander of the Legion of Honor on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the Morocco-France Joint Military Commission, held on December 9-10 in Paris, which was attended, on High Royal Instructions, by a high-level Moroccan delegation led by the Inspector General of the FAR.

This honor was presented on behalf of the President of the French Republic by Air Force General Fabien Mandon, Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces (CEMA), during an official ceremony attended by senior civilian and military figures, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

On the same occasion, Major General Mohamed Abbar, Inspector of the FAR Military Health Service, and Air Force Major General Fouad Moumen, Chief of the 4th Office of the FAR General Staff, were awarded the National Order of Merit Medal (Officer Grade).

These decorations are in recognition of their efforts to develop bilateral military relations under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
