18 Million tourists expected in Morocco by the end of 2025

Year-end forecasts for 2025 point to 18 million tourist arrivals, generating an estimated 124 billion dirhams (MMDH) in revenues, according to the report on public establishments and enterprises accompanying the 2026 Finance Bill.

The combined rise in arrivals, overnight stays and foreign-currency revenues reflects the impact of efforts undertaken to strengthen air connectivity and promotion as part of the 2023-2026 roadmap, the report notes.

According to the same source, the three-year investment projections validated under the roadmap foresee a budget of 2.5 MMDH in 2026.

The Moroccan National Tourist Office, which had carried out investments of 500 million dirhams by end-June 2025 for year-end projections of 2 MMDH- a forecast achievement rate of 60%- intends to extend this momentum over the 2027-2028 period through the implementation of ambitious investment programs.

These include the creation of new air routes and the strengthening of partnerships with tour operators, online travel agencies, and niche operators, as well as an integrated marketing strategy. This would consolidate the growth of Moroccan tourism and enhance the international reach of the Morocco destination.
