Morocco and France keep warming their relations after an intense diplomatic crisis

The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, emphasized the “unique” nature of the relationship between France and Morocco, during his discussions in Paris on Tuesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.

“The momentum created by my recent visit to Morocco continues today with a working session with my counterpart, Nasser Bourita. The relationship between France and Morocco is unique,” Séjourné wrote on his X account.

Séjourné’s visit to Morocco late February was part of the firm determination of HM King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron to enhance the bilateral strategic partnership on strong foundations. This endeavor builds on the strong historical and human foundations that underpin these relations, while also building on this partnership achievements over the decades.
